1. Sulemani,

Here in the East Kurdistan, in northern Iraq, the last days have been very happy, meeting this great family, going to the school of the village in the mountain, hanging out with the kids, playing football with them, taking photographs of them, look at them taking photographs of us, chilling in the shade between 1:00 and 4:00 PM, checking the old clothes bazar, buying a kart (traditional Kurdish outfit for men), drinking chaï again and again. Kurdistan has been great.

Tomorrow i am heading for Iran, and i am slightly scared, i hope that everything will go smooth, and that the road, will bring me the good. Let’s cross finger at least for the border.

Having the 4x5 in the back pack that is taking actually half of it, is not the most reassuring thing, plus all the films, it is scary, plus the 35mm, and more films, it is more scary. But i have to go, so i will go, and everything will go smooth, let’s hope so.

    Des bises,
